This is a very popular tour filled with history, charm and beauty and the fascinating Mount Etna:
Taormina: Is Sicily's prime tourist resort it was discovered by the British aristocracy in the mid- 1800s. Taormina is a panoramic resort facing Mount Etna and the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea. Taormina is 206m above sea level and is very peaceful. It was colonized by the Greeks in the Hellenic period - 3 B.C. They built the Greek amphitheatre, which was later altered by the Romans. The Teatro Greco, amphitheatre, is now the venue for classical plays every summer. The main street, Corso Umberto is very elegant and visited by many nationalities enjoying shopping in the chic boutiques or visiting cafés and restaurants.
Mt. Etna: The largest and most active volcano in Europe. The climb to the crater takes us through picturesque villages and an ever-changing landscape. The lower slopes of the volcano are extremely fertile with groves of oranges, lemons and other Mediterranean flora and of course vines which produce Sicily's best wines. We go through forests of chestnut trees which gradually give way to oak, beech, birch and pine.

- Arrival at Pozzallo in Sicily. Pozallo is a typical Sicilian fishing village, gradually regaining its role as the main port of the province of Ragusa. The imposing Cabrera Tower is a 14th century silo.
- First Stop for Coffee and fresh pastries for Breakfast (not included in price)
- Departure for Taormina in air-conditioned luxury coaches, accompanied by guides.
- On the way we pass:
- Noto, the baroque capital of Sicily;
- Stiracusa, with its world renowned Greek and Roman monuments;
- Catania, the upcoming commercial city.
- On to Taormina: You will have Free time in Taormina centre to enjoy the unique panoramic views overlooking Giardini Naxos, a former Greek colony, now an international yachting centre. Time for lunch (not included in the price).
- Continue to Mount Etna: From the Sylvester Craters at 2000 metres, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the vast base of Etna and the effects of the most recent eruptions. Souvenir shopping available.
- Our return journey to Pozzallo takes us across:
- The Iblei Mountain Range and continuing over two of the most spectacular bridges in Europe, with a bird's eye view of the Baroque city of Modica, a gem of baroque architecture.
- Departure by High Speed Catamaran at 21.30hrs for Malta.
